Are you interested in
volunteering and curious to know what it’s all about? Well, you came to the
right place! The personnel at Kenhorst Volunteer Fire Company No 1 come from
all walks of life. They are residents of Kenhorst and the surrounding areas but
all have one common goal, to help the residents in time of need. Joining our
Fire Company Family offers a whole new realm of possibilities that will add
value to your life and the lives of those you serve within our community. No
experience is necessary; we will provide all the training and equipment you
will need. To become a firefighter you will need more than just a desire to
help people and give back to the community. You will need courage, dedication,
enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills and face new challenges. In
turn you will be “making a difference” in the world.
The skills and training
available in the Fire Company can advance your career, brighten your resume and
build valuable and long lasting relationships. Still interested in taking part
but not sure about being a Firefighter, then don’t worry the Kenhorst Volunteer
Fire Company is always in need of people with special skills. Not everyone has
to run into a burning building to be helpful. In fact, the majority of the work
required in the fire service is ensuring that we are ready to respond when the
call comes in.
Use your skills and talents
to help us behind the scenes. If you have a talent, we could use your help. You’d
be surprised in how these skills could easily apply to the daily operation of
the Fire Company. Some of the skills we are always in need of include:
• Book Keeping
• Clerical Activities
• Personal Computer Skills
(Data entry, Maintenance or Web site

• Maintenance on both
vehicles and/or the facility
This personal donation of
your skills is a great way to give something back to the community without
dedicating an extraordinary amount of time.
